Patrick Governor

Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Bass

A multi-instrumentalist, Patrick's musical education began at the piano, where he was classically trained. During his high school years his passion shifted to the guitar. Patrick began to play professionally in his early twenties performing on keyboards and guitar. Fluent in many styles, Governor continues to perform locally and throughout the region. Patrick has studied music for over 35 years. A natural progression of events has led Governor to the path of teaching, giving him the opportunity to share his experience and love of music with students of all ages.

Wendy Goulart

Voice, Piano, Drums

Wendy has trained in vocal performance from Delta Junior College in Stockton and Harbor Junior College in Los Angeles. Wendy has been teaching voice for 18 years and drums for 14 years. She has sung in rock bands for many years with gigs ranging from United Service Organization (USO) tours in the South Pacific, to an all-female Rock band in the Hollywood Clubs and several bands in-between. Wendy has also enjoyed singing in church choirs and Broadway musicals in small theatres.

Theresa Smith

Voice, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Music Theory, Composition, Violin, Viola, Cello

Theresa Smith is a life-long musician and music educator. She studied music at Hartt College of Music, San Francisco State University, and De Anza College in addition to studying privately throughout her elementary and high school years. Past and present professional organizations include Associated Board Royal Schools of Music, National Guild of Piano Teachers, San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Oakland Symphony Chorus, San Francisco Concert Chorale, and Peninsula Women's Chorus.

She has worked extensively as a private music educator, accompanist, recording session accompanist, school band director, vocal coach, choir director in and around San Francisco, and most recently in the Modesto area. She teaches all ages, sizes, and levels of experience with patience, spirit, and knowledge.

Merrissa Brambila

Voice, Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello

Lifelong Modesto resident, Merrissa has studied with various local music college professors. Her love of music started at the early age of 6 with piano as her first instrument, followed by violin and voice. Her music genres include contemporary, musical theatre, opera, pop and classical. Her experience includes musical director for local theatre company "YES", vocal coach at local area high school, and music director for several local churches.

Ryan Gurulé

Cello, Violin, Viola, Double Bass, Bass Guitar, Piano

Ryan is a cellist and multi-instrumentalist. He has extensive training and experience in classical, jazz, and folk music, and a variety of ensembles, including orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo performance, jazz bands, and more. Ryan has studied extensively under many great artists and scholars, including cellist and retired dean of music Ira Lehn, pianist and Doctor of Musical Arts Alejandro Sabre, conductors/professors/Modesto Symphony members Ryan Murray, Anne Martin, Wayland Whitney, Dr. Myriam Cottin-Rack, and others.
