  • What if I'm running late for my lesson?
    Sometimes running late is unavoidable. If this happens, just come anyway. A 15-minute lesson is better than no lesson at all!
  • Do I need my own instrument?
    Yes, instruments are not included in the cost of tuition. If you need an instrument, we have a variety of instruments for sale or rental.
  • What do I need to enroll online?
    It's easy to enroll online. Complete and submit the online form. After submission of form, we will reach out to you by phone. You will need the student's information when we phone you. You will need a valid credit card.
  • Can I enroll by phone?
    Yes. You may phone us during business hours to enroll by phone. 209-524-1355. Business hours for phone enrollment Monday through Friday: 10:00am to 6:00pm Saturdays: 10:00am to 5:00pm Sundays: 11:00am to 4:00pm 209-524-1355
  • Can I change my lesson day or time?
    Yes, if you need to permanently reschedule your lesson, let us know. You can usually change to any available timeslot your teacher has open.
  • How do I login to TeacherZone?
    At the time of enrollment in lessons, your TeacherZone student account will be created, and you will be assigned a username and a temporary password.
  • How can I contact my teacher?
    Use TeacherZone's built-in messenger to contact your teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
  • How do I cancel a lesson through TeacherZone?
    You can cancel a lesson up until the lesson's start time using the TeacherZone app. (You cannot cancel after the lesson has started.) If you cancel a lesson more than 3 days (72 hours) in advance, you can "bank" it for a later date. You will have 30 days to use a banked lesson. TeacherZone will NOT allow you to cancel after the lesson starts... in this case, notify your teacher by MESSAGE using the TeacherZone app that you will not be attending your lesson.
  • What is TeacherZone?
    TeacherZone (student) is a mobile app which can be used to message your teacher, reschedule lessons, check your schedule, and keep a log of your practice time. Download the TeacherZone app (student version) at the time of enrollment in lessons.
  • How do I reschedule a cancelled lesson?
    Use the TeacherZone app to reschedule lessons. Remember that you have 30 days from the original lesson date to reschedule a lesson. After 30 days the lessons cannot be rescheduled.
  • What if I can't come to my lesson?
    Last minute cancellations happen. Always cancel your lesson through the Teacher Zone app. If you give a minimum 3 day (72-hour) advance notice, you may request make-up lessons. No make-up lessons will be given if you do not give a minimum 3 day (72-hour) advance notice through the Teacher Zone app.
  • What if I feel sick?
    Do not come to your lesson sick. Always cancel your lessons through the Teacher Zone app if you feel sick or have a fever or cough. If you give us a minimum 3 days (72-hours) notice, you may request a make-up lesson.
  • What if I go on vacation?
    Everyone deserves time off. Always cancel your lessons through the Teacher Zone app. If you give a minimum 3 day (72-hour) advance notice, you can request make-up lessons.
  • What about holidays?
    There are holidays on which we don't teach. You will be notified by text or email. For these holidays, no make-up lessons will be given.
  • Can I message my teacher?
    Yes. You can message your teacher through the TeacherZone app (TZ). You must be logged in to the TZ app to message your teacher. At the dashboard on your TZ app, select 'Messages'. Then select your teacher from the 'Contacts'
  • What if my credit card is lost or stolen?
    Notify us immediately if your credit card is lost or stolen. Do not email or text credit card information to us. We will never ask you to email or text us your credit card information.
  • Can I pay tuition with cash?
    Yes, you can pay for your lessons in cash. Cash payments must be paid 3 months at a time. If you pay less than 3 months at a time, you will be charged a payment processing fee of $25.00 per cash payment.
  • What if my payment is declined?
    If your payment is declined for any reason, your lessons will be suspended. There will be no lessons until you make a payment.
  • When do I pay for my lessons?
    Your tuition will automatically be charged to your credit card on the 15th of each month.
  • What if I need to change my credit card?
    You can change the credit card you use to pay for lessons at any time by calling in your new credit card information at 209-524-1355. Do not email or text us your credit card information. We will never ask you to email or text us your credit card information.
  • Do I pay in advance for my lessons?
    Yes, you will always pay two weeks in advance of the next month. For example, you will pay for July's lessons on June 15th, August lessons on July 15th, etc.
  • Can I just tell you I want to stop lessons?
    Written notification is required for the charges to stop. Verbal notification, either by phone, by telling management, staff, or your teacher will not count as written notification to stop charging you for lessons. You must notify management in writing, by either filling out the online 'discontinue lessons' form or submitting written notice to the front desk.
  • Can I notify you by phoning?
    Written notification is required for tuition charges to stop. Phoning, voicemails, verbal notification, telling management, telling staff or telling your teacher, either in person or on the phone, will not count as written notification to stop charging you for lessons. You must notify management in writing, by either filling out the online 'discontinue lessons' form or submitting written notice to the front desk.
  • Can I get a refund?
    No tuition or payments are refunded when discontinuing lessons. All payments made toward tuition must be used for lessons only.
  • Can I discontinue lessons by email?
    No, you must either fill out the online 'discontinue lessons' form or submit written notice to the front desk. Any withdrawal notices by email are invalid and will not be processed, and the tuition charges will not stop.
  • What if I need to discontinue lessons?
    We must be notified in writing. There are 2 ways you can notify us: By completing and submitting the online 'Discontinuing Lessons' form By giving the front desk written notice that you wish to discontinue lessons.
  • When will the charges stop?
    Your tuition charges will stop once we have received and processed your written notice. Please allow a minimum of 3 business days to process your withdrawal once we have received it. If you are charged for lessons during the 3 days we are processing your withdrawal, your withdrawal date will be extended. No tuition will be refunded if you are charged during the processing period.
  • Can I notify my teacher that I'm discontinuing lessons?
    Telling, texting, or emailing your teacher will NOT count as notification to management to discontinue lessons. You will continue to be charged for lessons until written notification is received by management. You must either fill out the online 'discontinue lessons' form or submit written notice to the front desk.
